Heart-Shaped Hands

Relationship Coaching

For high-achieving professionals who want relationships as successful as their careers.

The Challenge

You've built a successful career. But your relationships haven't kept pace.

Maybe work has taken priority for so long that your partnership feels like an afterthought. Maybe conflict has become the norm — or silence has replaced connection. Maybe you're successful in every area except dating, where the same patterns keep repeating. You're not alone. High achievers often apply relentless drive to their careers while neglecting the relationships that matter most.

The good news: the same intentionality that built your career can transform your relationships.

Coffee And Vase

One Coach. One Relationship.

Many coaching firms assign you to a contractor. You talk to a salesperson, then an intake coordinator, then finally meet "your coach"—someone you didn't choose.

That's not how I work.

When you reach out, you talk to me. When we meet for our consultation, it's me. When we work together, it's me—every session, every conversation, from start to finish.

No handoffs. No gatekeepers. No repeating your story to someone new.
Just a direct relationship, built on trust.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Gottman Method ?

The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples therapy developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. Over four decades of research, they identified the specific behaviors that predict relationship success and failure—and developed interventions that actually work. Dr. Li is a Gottman Method Certified Therapist, which requires extensive training, clinical hours, and demonstrated proficiency in this approach.

Do you specialize in dual-career couples?

Yes. A significant portion of my couples practice involves dual-career couples in Silicon Valley—two high-achieving partners navigating the competing demands of ambitious careers and meaningful relationship. Dual-career couples need different support than couples where one partner has flexibility. My approach acknowledges reality: neither of you is going to work less. The question is how to build connection within constraint.

How often do couples need to meet?

Most couples in my practice meet weekly, especially at the beginning. Weekly sessions build momentum and allow us to work with issues while they're fresh. As progress occurs, many couples shift to biweekly, then monthly maintenance sessions.

Can couples coaching save a relationship?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Honesty here serves you better than false promises. Couples therapy can be remarkably effective when both partners genuinely want the relationship to work and destructiveness hasn't completely replaced connection. In our first session, I'll offer an honest assessment of what I see and what's possible.

Individual vs. Couples Coaching?

In individual coaching, you are the client. In couples coaching, the relationship is the client. This means I don't take sides, I won't see you for individual sessions simultaneously, and progress is measured by the relationship's dynamic rather than individual satisfaction alone.

What happens in a typical session?

Sessions are 50 minutes. A typical session includes a check-in on recent incidents, working on a specific conflict or topic, skill building with new engagement methods, and integration for the week ahead. Early sessions focus on assessment of history and patterns; later sessions focus on building alternatives to stuck patterns.

Fit & Investment

Is This Right for You?

This work requires honesty, time, and investment.

I keep a small client roster so I can go deep, not wide. I don't take on every inquiry, and I encourage you to be selective too.

Pricing varies based on engagement type and scope. If we're a fit after our consultation, I'll share details and we'll decide together whether to move forward.
